Our personal experience choosing Residential Exterior Doors - Reviews

Residential Exterior Doors come in a wide variety of finishes and materials. We went through the process of choosing a front door a few years ago.

When my wife and I wanted to replace our old steel front door I started paying attention to what I liked as I drove by homes.

In the end I decided to get a custom door made of Mahogany. Today there are more wood doors to choose from to avoid going the custom made route.

Front doors are the centerpiece of your home’s curb appeal. When you do it right it can make a big difference. If you’re planning to make improvements to your home, it’s a good idea to start with the front door.

These reviews include other types of doors as well as Andersen Doors that we used for our sunroom addition.

Door materials include:

  • Steel
  • Steel/wood
  • Fiberglass (becoming more popular)
  • Aluminum doors
  • Glass doors
  • Wood (my personal choice :-)

You can read more reviews about brands listed below.I’ll be adding to it over time.
