An Inviting Front Porch Addition
before and after
You'll love what your front porch addition does for your home's curb appeal and it's a great place to sit and relax while you read or enjoy the view.
A porch addition is planned for this home in the summer. (This place was originally built in the 1800’s.) Lisa & Corey bought this home September 2008 and the remodel was completed inside to move in condition by February.
This home was bought as a major fixer upper.
The location was close to downtown where the future homeowners wanted to live.
When I first saw this home it looked like an ambitious project, and it was. Corey is an ambitious do-it-yourselfer and likes to take on projects he has time for.
Remodeling and updating
Their remodeling and updating started mainly on the inside. They completely gutted the inside and re-leveled the floors.
They love their home!
It was a multi-family dwelling for at least 50 years. Over time porches have been enlarged or removed from around the home.
A carriage house in back is original. It’ll be restored with carriage style garage doors.
The original home had a front porch. The owners are looking forward to adding their porch next spring. I'll keep you updated on the progress.
